Gizzly mini mill

I've been reading all the messages on these mills.
The comments lead me to order one, I just picked it up and
uncrated it today.I'm not a machinist, just a hobbyist to
make a few parts. Appreciate any suggested publications and
tips to get started learning.
This is quite impressive piece of machinery. Is it really
necessary to disassemble and clean the entire unit. If so
what is good cleaning solution and lubricant to use.
Anyone had any luck taking the noise out of the gearbox?
