Thanks, Matt! That explanation clarifies things re NURBS for me.
However, I keep the IRS ("taxing"?) away from my machine! LOL! And with 4
mm-pitch lead-screws, one step (200 per turn) is 0.02 mm. That is tiny
enough that any "jerky" is for lunch, not objectionable to machine nor parts
being made. OH: Not 10 µin. metal parts, perhaps, but hardwood
musical-instrument parts. 240-grit emery, then maroon ScotchBrite, followed
by rouge on a cloth wheel makes 'em look like molded plastic!
