Wire EDM Feed and (wire) Speed

Jan Rowland asks the questions I posed to the author of the plans
being sold by Dan at Camtronics:
Wire feed rate: I forget, but at current prices, it worked out to about
a dollar per inch of cut thru 1/8 inch material. thicker material
wasn't
in the cards for that design......
Cut rate:
With the voltages shown in the plans (50-100?) one should be able to get
into the range of "hours per inch" thru 1/8 inch material...
I chose to wait a while, and perhaps use a jewelers saw for what I
was planning..... /mark
