I must admit I haven't paid MUCH attention to this "Vacuum question", but as
another just wrote, if you are looking for a "Hold-Down System" [e-mail him
off-line].
It was some point in '73, I think, that my then-boss, now pushing up daisies
in Southern Vermont, had the idea for a vacuum-CLAMP for glueing-up
large-surface-area pipe-organ components. Was not MY idea, but I remembered
it for a time when the "New England 'Make It DO' syndrome" had gone away
(actually, I did! Moved back to Texas!)
I then ('74) wrote an article about that technique for the then-published
House Organ of the International Society of Organbuilders, complete with
photos of the "steps" involved. Since, several organbuilding firms took up
this technique, and demonstrate it when we have annual visits during
conventions to those shops.
But I fail to see how this PVC-film "bag" over a surface with vacuum could
"work" with a ROUTER eating-up the PVC film! Perhaps someone can explain in
"1,2,3" sentences for us dummies???
