Yes I have also heard of O (zero?) flute cutters. They apparently work
better than single flute but are more expensive. When used on a router
table, the surface finish is similar to what you would get on a
machining center. At least thats what I am told by somone using them.
I'll have to make the drive over to his shop and see for myself.
P.S. thanks to all who responded. The bits I was asking about are true
upcutting spiral end mills, not straight wood bits, but thanks for the
replies anyway.
