plasmacutter

hi group..

i need to put together a cnc-plasma for a friend (for daily use, no
hobby), no problems with the gantry & software, but where can i find
a suitable plasma-gear to add on. i saw a couple of hand-held cutters
in the local hardwarestore, will that do? he need to cut up to 12 mm.
i heard somewhere some ignition systems might knock out the
electronic devices, what system is best for a cnc?
