Key word in first line is "servo", not "stepper"! A servo motor would not
draw the CURRENT the stepper would. FOUR pair for a servo? Did you parallel
these into ONE pair? Four #24 wires in parallel is about same as one #18.

Endcoder to PC? These would be "logic signals", and a single #48 would be
"electrically" large enough (though clearly not "mechanically" suitable).
