I was wondering if anyone one here has any experience with the cnc
jr. by cnc masters ? me and my father purchased one in the fall of
2000 ,due to our work schedules we have barely even touched it . i
was wondering about the reliability of this machine when we first
recieved this machine we had some problems with it they had just went
to a windows based program and to say the least it was very
unreliable, also had trouble with the vfd speed control. the machine
was under warranty at time and they took it in and worked on it the
speed control is better but still not crazy about the program it
uses.since it is now not under warranty im curious about about what
type of retrofit would be easiest if problems were to arise. i called
cnc masters and they have made so many changes to their machine such
as larger motors , direct drive , new operating software, that they
no longer even support the older cnc jr. im wondering what the
cheapest way to upgrade this machine to better "front end" software
while still using as much as i can thats already on the machine
stepper motors , vfd, etc. thank you very much
