I'm glad someone was able to use my ideas.

I discovered the Red Lion quad counter many years ago when I was building
an 18" height gage for my surface plate. I teamed it up with a .0001
resolution DRC linear encoder and some Moglice technology to make a really
accurate height gage. I'll put some pictures in the photo section.
