New to the forum.

Hi all,
I just wanted to intorduce myself. My name is Dennis. I have been a
machinist for about 13 years. I have run CNC lathes and mills, but
never really got into programing them. I have mostly used manual
machines. Well, I had no idea how easy it was to build a hobby cnc
machine. I have decided to build a small 3 axis router to play with
and learn cnc programing. I found the Kcam4 demo. It looks like its
pretty good, but what do I know I'm just getting in to this. I have
decided to use stepper motors. I have one question though about EDM. I
don't know to much about it. my understanding of it is as a tap and
drill remover. I also know that they will cut. That is all I know
about it. I would like to learn more. Where can I go on the wed? I
would like to know how it cuts. Also what types of metal does it cut?
