RE: [CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO] Nifty Servo driver just showed up on Ebay.

You send these units an RS232 serial data packet and they output pulses
of 1 to 2 msec at about 50 hz. They are for RC model aircraft
servos.They are extremely handy in robotics but of no use in cadcam.

nearly a toy.

when they say servo, they probably mean the RC Servos, that are used in
model airplanes, etc. they are driven with some kind of pwm, and contain
the power electronics in the servo motor housing.
