Hello,

There may be some uses...

Art Fenerty's Mach1 cnc control can output a PWM. I imagine others
like TurboCNC aren't incapable of similar... And one of these could
use a servo like this to turn the knob of a sherline (or ANY other
knob).

Servos of the R/C type might also be useful implementing tool
changers, digitisers, part loader/unloaders, etc.
