But if you look over Mariss's chart on stepper warming you will see that
at the higher over voltage that many people strive for (gotta have that
power) the predominant source of heating is the iron lost and not the
copper loss. Meaning that if you run 25 X is going to be hot regardless
of the current.

Remember, the 10 - 25 X over voltage range is empirically determined.
The top limit is based upon the fact that going higher makes the motor
get too hot (beyond spec).
