Jon,
They where recommended as a solution to a problem I am having trying to
make a tracer attachment for my mill.
I was considering a hydraulic tracer, but it was suggested that I use a
spring loaded tracer attached to the selsyn transmitter as the master,
and use the reciever to move the cutter so as to follow the contours of
my pattern.
Turbcnc would drive the master table (with the other table slaved to it)
and at the end of the programmed search routine, the master and copy
would rotate to the new surface to be traced/machined.

Do-able?

Also, Gess-GE list them as Differential transmitter selsyn rotor with a
control transformer receiver.

Whatever happened to a nice easy name?<gr>
