Need help with selecting a spindle motor.

I have a milling attachment for my lathe but I don’t have a motor for it.



The type of work I want to do with the milling attachment is:

1.) Engraving Aluminium and Plastic (acetyl)

2.) Milling Aluminium, Plastic, 303 Stainless

a. Max size: ½” (2, 3, and 4 flute)

b. Min size: 1/64” (2 and 4 flute)

3.) Drilling Aluminium/Brass/303 Stainless



What spindle RPM/speed should I be aiming for?

What HP should I be looking for?
