Hi Ian,
there is no 'smart' software that could determine if the response was
part of the trash. :(
it might be possible to just trash everything with >> or more as that
would deffinatly be a repeat, but a single > is often necessary to
mantain the concept of the thread.
Since it looks like you get digests, you could write a macro that did
just that. bring the document into WORD or something, then search
and replace everything between a ">>" and and "end of line"
Also, you could change the "--- In CAD_CAM..." line into a bold, or a
different color with the search function to let you find each post
more easily.
Personally, I am hoping the dispute over the archives is settled and
we can put everyting on a CD or something.
in another list, the list owner zipps the archives into smaller files
and then posts that into the files section.
I think that this is off topic, so I won't reply on line again, if
you want to make the macro, but are not too familiar with them, drop
