24v transformer

Hi,
I have this good transformer that I would like to power a Xylotech
stepper board with. It is a 12/24v .25kva indoor/outdoor transformer.
It has two seperate windings so it will take a 110/220v input. You can
change the inputs and outputs by connecting up different wires.
Anyway I was reading the thread about 24v ac transformers putting out
too many dc volts after rectification or too close to the maximum
power of the Xylotech stepper board.
Does anyone know of a way to get 30 v dc out of this transformer?
Links or diagrams would be helpful.
TIA,
Chris
