Re: DRO box for lathe or mill/drill

We intentionally made this for the lowest possible system cost and
therefore targeted the use of no-name Chinese import scales.
Unfortunately they are not compatible with Mitutoyo (or other premium
brands), both connector and electrical interface are different.

However why not buy dedicated scales, since it works with the lowest
cost calipers such as the Cen-tech 6" available from Harbor Freight
(ITEM #47257-3RVC) that sells for $19.99 or even cheaper from JTS
machinery on ebay for $18.95.
Scales that can easily be mounted to machines go for as little as $40
on ebay for 8" and you can get them all the way up to 40".
