I had an old microwave transformer when in college (we made a heck of
a color organ lightshow with the SCR from it) but tossed it when I
graduated. Keeping my eyes out for another to salvage and rewind (I
think modern ovens may be switching? they seem lighter).
Sometimes it gets tempting to just buy IRF640's rated for 200 volts
and simply rectify the line...
