If your PC came with one HD it was jumpered as single. Look at the 40
pin connector on the disk, near it you'll probably find another 10 pin
connector. Possibly on the drive you will find drawings for the
pinout of this connector and they will show where to place jumpers for
master, slave and single. Although single most often requires no
jumpers. Anyway if the info is not on the disk itself you can
probably find it online. So what you want to do is set the new disk
to master and the old disk to slave and then they can both be
connected at the same time.
