Perhaps not really "100% OT", as SOME "Cable-Chain", at least, has GOOD uses
in self-cobbled CNC gear!
When I saw the subject "Cable Chain", I was sure I'd see a discussion about
W.M. Berg (NJ) products. THEY do MANY sizes and styles of [topic] and
sprockets to go with those. AND, they are clearly aware of the "math
involved", as some of the products they offer have pitches related to Pi
(3.1415926...), as well as decimal, etc.
