Hi Thomas
For a very simple setup running steppers on a Sherline, I get 8-10ipm with a
basic P166. With the latest KDE desktop and using all the newest Office
applications, a 1.8GHz/512Mb computer is coping.
I here the current entry spec is 2GHz/256MB/60Gig..
For workshop use, I'd recommend a dumspter grade computer that is expenable
should anything nasty happen - The specs tend to be minimal by today's
standards though.
