Yes, there is a manufacturer or router tables in Vancouver called
Precix that uses this system. They use a 1" wide 5mm pitch round tooth
belt. They use a double reduction totaling 9:1 to drive the pinion.
If you look at the appendix in the Gates Belt catalog, there are
several examples of belt drive systems including two 3axis tables.
