Ha Ha , well Frank is right. Scraping is not for the
impatient that's for sure. And you need to like that
kind of thing. Don't do it if you don't think it will be
fun!
As he mentioned I use a different method ;power hand grinders rather than a
scraper blade. I was
taught this by old machine tool builders in Chicago,
and it is about ten times faster.
Machine Tool Reconditioning is a great book but it actually has very very
little about scraping technique. It is mostly about measuring the results.
That is the hard part!
