Re: [CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO] Rutex Servo Drives. Any opinions?

I use both Rutex and Gecko servo drives. I have purchased I guess about 8
Gecko's and about 14 Rutex drives. The Rutex drives do what Vladimir
claims. In one application particularly the Rutex drives shine. This is
where for whatever reason, you are not too particular about following error,
like in rapid moves where the motion is unpredictable. The example I am
referring to is when you are using handwheels to move the mechanism around
in both axises at the same time rapidly. Geckos fault out when I push them
like this. I have never had a Rutex fault out. There are no grounding
issues that cause faults, or any surprizes. The boards are well made, and
Vladimir is easy to work with. At machining rates the following errors are
about the same for Gecko's and Rutex servo drives, in my opinion. I have
three of the high speed drives on order, and based upon my past experience,
I expect them to work as specified. We use two Gecko drives on our plasma
cutter.

Hope this helps.
