OT Virus Hoax

Hi There,
[As much as I dislike making off-topic posts (sorry, Bill) I thought this
one is important enough to mention to my friends on this list. I just
received a very official looking e-mail from the "Microsoft Security
Division", subject "Internet Security Update" with an attachment "q305893" I
was urged to install, ostensibly to protect me from security flaws in
various Windows operating systems. Being a suspicious type, I decided to
check with Microsoft before doing so. It's a good thing I did. They told me
not to open this attachment- it's a virus; the message is a hoax. If you
want to update your system, patches are available on the Microsoft site, but
they don't send them out by e-mail...]
You may now return to regularly scheduled programming...
