is Bridgeport DRO worth repair?

I finally dug my DRO out of the garage. I posted a few questions a
while back, and had some good replys. I uploaded three pics to the
photo section. If somebody knows where I should start poking it with
a sharp stick "read multimeter" please let me know. With the power
on the numbers on the display don't light up, but the vertical string
of lights in the middle do work. Is this worth trying to fix myself
or paying someone to fix it? I got it from work for free because of
it's lack of usefullness.
