Hi All -
A local rigger is trying to sell a New Hermes Vanguard VMC 4000 (~1998) for
a customer, and I'm told they'll accept a pretty low offer. It's basically
a re-badged Light Machines Benchman 4000 with a toolchanger and a 39krpm
spindle. The problem is, there's a comunication problem between the PC and
the spindle system. Is anyone familiar with these spindles and how they're
designed and controlled? It doesn't look like there's a cooling unit, and I
couldn't tell what kind of bearings it uses. Also, does anyone have
comments on the overall capabilities of the machine and control system?
TIA,
Carlos
