Brad,

Your posting is not entirely correct. IGES and also NURBS (another
surface format) can be used in a variety of CAM programs to generate
G-code. I can successfully use an IGES import to generate a 3D gcode in
both Visual Mill 4.0 full version and in Vector NURBS.
