Thanks for the quick answer. You know, when you do a search on
McMaster Carr for "rack and pinion" you don't get that page. I've
looked and looked. Thanks. The next question is, would the 32 pitch
rack and pinion be good enough for a cnc machine? Yes, I know, it
depends upon how tight I want the machine. I would like to be as
good or better than .002 The next question is, would I need some
sort of gearing or would I attach the stepper directly to the pinion?
