It makes a lot of sense to keep the punch and die lined up in that
manner.

Having the tonnage to use die sets, I am able to make more elaborate
dies, but never do.

I really want to make a die set with a simple relaceable punch and
die so I can do different size holes. but your idea makes that seem
too manual !
