Haven't built the circuit, but at 110VAC you WILL get 67.872 volts
out with no load.
The problem is that if the mains voltage is 120V then the output is
74.04 volts and at 130V it will give 80.21 volts.
I understand that the US mains can easily reach or exceed 130 VAC so
this circuit is marginal for the Geckos with their 80 volts limit.
You really don't need to push the limits that far, so why not go for
a transformer AC output of say 36 volts, possibly with a pair of 18V
AC transformers. This will give a nominal output of 50.9 volts DC
and a greater safety margin.
