Not exactly. With the motor not spinning, the voltage will be close to 2V,
but higher when moving. But the _current_ will be close to 3A. The driver
will put out the (average) voltage needed to keep 3A running through the
motor. The extra power going into the motor (higher than 2V times 3A)
leaves the motor as power turning your lead screws.
