Hi Mark,
If you have time to kill, you can not beat John Klienbaur's designs.
His plans only cost about $30 and you can make the whole machine
including the controller, computer and spindle for between $500-$1000
depending on what you have already.
You learn all about CNC by building one yourself. It is a great
hobby and you can even make money with it!
