Hi All
I need some help configuring my EMC (Enhanced Machine Controller)
(Linux).
I have installed the BDI system and have it up and running. After
many hours of messing with the E-Stop and INI file.
I'm using Bridgeport I/O and Steppermod.o to drive my STEP/DIR
controller.
The problem I'm having is getting the SteptoLinear movement
correlated.
With the preconfigured setup the software outputs a single STEP pulse
per mill (.001 inches). This equals 1000 steps/inch
My ratio with lead screw and pulley's is 3000 steps per/inch.
200 step/rev 3:1 pulley 5 threads/inch = 3000 step/inch
I have tried changing the input and output scaling with bizarre
results. I don't know how these parameters are related to display and
pulse generation.
I have also changed the Units to different value without any change
in output pulses.
UNITS = 0.03937007874016
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
Mark
