Before you mount the unit in the box, try test running it under load.
They don't get real hot but if your box is too small, it could over heat.
I've placed small fans in the boxes and found I could dissipate enough heat
from a closed NEMA 4 box. I usually install a two pole QD breaker on the
input side to use as a power switch/protection device. Since the control
lines are usually class 2 low voltage current limited, you can run 22 or 18
ga wires in a non metallic conduit to a remote mounted control pendant.
