Hi,
On a servo, the step multiplier is marginally more useful than a
screen door on a submarine.
The only reasons for using it are:
1) You already have a high resolution encoder on a motor and a wimpy
step pulse source frequency.
2) You want to keep the "dither" angle small but otherwise don't need
a high resolution.
