Denford Mirac PC Problems..!!! Help

Hi,
I recently bought a Denford Mirac CNC lathe with tool changer at
auction. I've spent the last couple of days trying to bring it back
to life. It had a partly canablized 386 pc shoved into the back of
the machine when I got it. All the com cables were disconnected. I've
been on the phone to Denford here in the US. They have tried to help
but they are limited on info for this machine. It was built in 1991.
I have installed the old 170 mb hard drive into a 486 machine I have.
When I try to boot I get this message:
Starting MSDOS
Himen is testing extended memory
Denford Mirac CNC Programming (V1.62)April 91
Error <130> Cannot find installation program
Abort,Entry, Fail

I then press F for fail and enter C:
C:>
CD\C:\mirac <Return>
Mirac <Return>
The Mirac software then boots up. I can't control it with the
keyboard on my PC. I have edited the Mirac.Go file to disable the
tutor keypad. When I unplug the machine (Mirac Machine) from Com 1 I
get a new list of errors and the software does not boot. Does anyone
have any information on this machine???
