Hi,
My guess at "tuning" would be how to not accelerate too much within
the resonance points so that the stepper doesn't stall. I'm playing
with this on a plasma cutter control I just put together. Mach1 makes
this fairly a straight forward thing with a nice graphical dialog box
that illustrates the profile you enter by adjusting the max
acceleration and velocity.
