column, seems to be more balanced that way. Also, I've heard of
putting the thread on the right hand side of the mill column. Left
hand side will do if you remove the tension arm and go to a gas lift
system, or counterbalance. You could try to drive the fine feed knob,
which sounds good, but there's a lot of backlash in that system.
