Subject: the next step
we have a taig CNC milling machine and we were wondering what
program we could use to do pocket milling and more 3d milling and to
operate the machine aswell..............we are currently using
Autocade to design only 2D objects then we are running them throught
Supercam 2000...............supercam runs our cnc machine........
thanks for help

[Have you looked at VisualMill 4.0? It deals with 2d as well as 3d input,
and offers quite a few different strategies for toolpaths. RAMs is not quite
as nice or feature-rich, but it's cheaper and will also do the job. I sell
both programs at a substantial discount. Neither will actually operate your
machine, but if it is set up for SuperCam, then other step-direction
programs like TurboCNC (DOS) or Mach2 (Windows XP or 2000) should work, and
will offer a range of G-codes not available in SuperCam. Is this a servo
mill or is it stepper driven?]
