Hi Ken,
The heavy machine with equally heavy table may not be a problem that
requires floor mounting.
in fact, rubber isolators may be bettter at keeping the shop quiet
than a hard connection.
My first suggestion is to design the table with isolators and
levelers. the table should be dead level or at least the mounting
points should be. then your machine should be leveled on that.
They make isolators that can be bolted so some prudent selection of
the mount will offer you some choices on the final installation.
But, the questions is how much mass will be moving with this thing ?
if you are doing fast rapids, what will that mass be as compared to
the weight of the table ? is may be so slight that the mass will not
have much effect.
Mariss mentioned some time ago that his pick and place machine has
multiple axises and some unimaginable rapids, but if I remember
correctly it is sitting on isolators only.
