David,
As I am new to machining in general, CNC in particular is an
additional learing curve that I have to add to the mix. Yes, I would
enjoy putting together my own system from scratch and the feeling of
accomplishment would be great. This maybe part of the reason that I
want to go CNC, I'm not sure. However on the other side, the ability
to get something that someone else has put together, done all the
experimentation and has worked most of the bugs out of is very, very
appealing. Having said that there is the bottom line, cost! I do not
have an unlimited supply of money either. If I did I would have
purchased a new CNC machine all ready to go. My question was not if I
should put together my own system or purchase one pre-assembled. My
question was does anyone have first hand experience with the Axxus
system and if so what is their opinion of that setup.
