I have nothing against Axxus, but to me as a hobbiest cnc'er, part of the
hobby is putting various components together to make a working machine.
You'll gain knowledge and experience and get to tell your freinds, 'Look
what I built'. To me, that's worth something, and besides, there are many
people on this board that are more than willing to help answer any questions
that you may have. If your willing to spend some time on ebay, digikey,
geckodrives ,etc. you could probably save a fair bit of change. I myself
don't use the gecko drives, but have opted to use drive made by rutex. The
gecko drive are proven and should give years of trouble free service if you
chose to go that route. Of course if you don't want to go though all the
hassle, the drive setup from Axxus will get you a dependable plug and play
unit.
