Sure, how far do we stretch this, esp. with such common items.
Odd, uncommon stuff like CHEAP encoders, large servos or steppers whole
machines, but PCs? come on.

Lets take the DRO thread for an example How far can we stretch that.
And these ARE Items directly related.

I have AN HP48 GX FA (For Auction) That was suggested for a DRO component.
... Printer For the HP ......
... B/W Xterminals that could easily run from Linux....
... I have a Rain check for sale from the Netpliance...
... I have 200 8052 UControllers.....
... I have 12 PIC 17c42 Ucontrollers...
... I have a plotter that could be used tp plot encoders...
... An old Monitor you could plug on a PC for a DRO Display...
... TITANIUM you could MILL on your CNC machine...
Steel...plastic....whatever.
... I'm a distributor for the XYZ Comapny and you poeple are
just plain stupid for trying to build what I can provide for
9999.95 followed by 265K of PDF files...

How far do we want to stretch the "Related" part.

I'm all for short and DIRECTLY related to the group projects, and
I would also add hard to find and at a GOOD price.

I figure if you want full rip retail you can pay for your advertising.

Not I didn't say a word to his first offer to sell motor drives, it was
short and related to the group. PCs on EBAY, get real.

What PC part or peripheral CAN'T you relate to CAD/CAM/CNC?
What kind of Raw machining Material?
What Kind of Motor?
What kind of Technical Book?
