It was a sarcastic post, and cited as an example of the tons of junk
one could contrue as "Tightly Bound to the goals of the group" and
therefore a free-for-all for free advertising.

I do have all the items I listed, I would never abuse other list members
who are DONATING time and effort to a common cause to MAXIMIZE my
profits of hawking my junk.

Maybe I SHOULD go get a distributorship and push all kinds of junk off
on the list members, why pay for advertising?

I have put probably $1,000 of time, If I had billed it at my standard rate,
into the parallel port Interface design.

Other people have undoubtedly put a LOT more than that into software
and sharing experience they have gained.

If the real scope of the list is going to become a free-for-all
marketplace where it becomes my problem to sort out a ton of crap
being pushed by people trying to MAXIMIZE personal profit, I don't
figure I should do any different.

Why should I donate my time, effort, and actual cash to a group that
is unwilling to reciprocate?

I just spent $370.00 in parts from BG Micro and Electronics goldmine
in parts, mostly for this board.
I bought enough stuff for probably 20 boards.
I ALREADY had about 3/4 of the ICs necessary.

Watch for the announcement of the web site pushing my new card,
but forget the 10 bucks for parts deal, It's a hunderd bucks as a kit
and 250 assembled.

Just kidding, there is honestly not enough money in that to make it
worth while as a business as far as I'm concerned.
Not enough profit.

I'll just build my own, and not share it with anyone if that is the
way this is going to go.

After all If I can't maximize my profits, I may as well hoard it out
of spite.

If I didn't want a sense of community, and common goals, and was
interested in filtering out all the crap, I'd stick to the newsgroups.

I'd sure not offer a parts kit there for 1/3 of what it would cost
to go buy it surplus as individuals.
There I have no REASON to, I'm just a commodity to be bombarded there
for random persons personal profit, being free advise with no
reciprocation or flat out sales, as the case may be.

I honestly made the offer, and did what I could do, due to the fact I
feel I OWE it to the "Group" for the effort, and time others have
put in.
It would appear the majority don't feel that way.

This is just a bunch of junk mail to peruse or shitcan at your leisure
no strings attached.

This group WAS different, and I'm sure some individuals are, and I
appreciate what they have done, but I already sort thru too much junk
Email.
