CAM software VectorCAM & DeskProto

1) Let's say I want to add a rotary table as a 4th axis to an XYZ 3
axis cnc router, and I want the rotary table axix to be parallel to
the length of the router table (not parallel to the Z axis).

2) Now let's say I want to chuck a 11 inch by 2.25 inch block of
maple between the rotary table and an end block (sort of like a
lathe sitting on the router table) so I can mill a violin neck,
complete with a scroll (the curly-cue thingy up by the tuning pegs)
and the holes for the tuning pegs, etc.

I'll be modelling the violin neck in ProE or Rhino CAD and will want
to import the model into CAM software, but I'm looking for
inexpensive CAM software to be used as I described in #1 and #2.

It seems from reading the literature that VectorCAM and DeskProto
might be able to do the job, but I wondered if anybody has
expereince with 4th axis rotary tables that could tell me which one
might work better??

On another note, VisualMill 4.0 looks great, but it's over my budget.
