John, It's a personal choice. I use the standard version of TurboCAD
3D Version 8. Works great with 3D. I paid $40 for it at a local
computer store. You can get it for less on-line. It also draws my
tool paths for conversion into CAM. It's use is intuitive for me: I
think like it does. It has all the features I think I'll ever need
and then some. I also like it because I did not pay extra to
support a salesman to promote it. Charles Hixon
