Comments on idea for high speed spindle for Bridgeport

I'm looking for comments and suggestions on an idea I had. I've
posted a photo of my prototype to the FILES section of the group. I
attached a 30,000 RPM laminate trim router to an Erickson Quick
Change tool (collet holter without the nut) for engraving and other
fooling around. I can lock it from turning with my pneumatic
bracke/spindle lock attachment. I'm intending on placing a N.C.
limit switch in the BP motor coil circuit so that when the router is
in place it disables the BP motor (I don't want to be in the same
county if the motor turns on at 4000 RPM and spins the router). I'm
a little concerned that I will not be able to accuately line up the
router on the X axis with the BP spindle as the initial position of
the spindle when I insert it is kinda arbitrary. I've ordered a 1/4"
to 1/8" collet addapter from Porter Cable (at less than $10.00 it
seems a good investment so I can use Dremel and RotoZip sized tooling
as well as my router bits).

Basicly, I'm clueless, but it seems like this should work. Any ideas
and critical feedback would be appreciated.

Regards,
Jeff
