amps. I think you are seriously under driving the motors. I would
suggest cranking up the amperage to the max and put on a larger 15 amp
or so power supply. The DeskCNC controller puts out a very smooth pulse
stream so that should not be an issue. What I found on my machine was
that one of the motors was bad and it would make noises and not go very
fast with a microstep drive. Oddly it performed OK with a half step
drive. I am told that this is a symptom of a partially demagnitized
motor.
